I confess I'm troubled, though: while parts of this are as absurd as the original, parts of it make a fair amount of sense (particularly on the topic of men shutting the hell up at certain times). Does that imply there were also smidgens of wisdom in the original, however blanketed by hyperbole and very poor assumptions?
