I suppose this is a good time to mention I'm no longer at Google

I'm no longer working at Google, and am not able to share any other details about that at this time.

Meanwhile, my former colleagues got Breitbart to write a hit piece about me. I'm flattered by the attention, and I wonder whether Google will take the leaking of confidential posts from internal forums to Breitbart as seriously as they take other leaks.

In 2017, it's still -- apparently -- news that a Jewish guy (me) is in favor of using violence to stop Nazis.

I'm sorry we lost you.

I swore a lot when I read this. I miss you a lot, and I fervently hope that you land someplace that recognizes both your considerable talents and your passionate activism (although I very much sympathize with your quote "I don't want to bring my whole self to work -- I want work to pay me enough that I can go be my whole self somewhere very far away from work.")

Maybe we'll see each other again once the promised full gay space communism rolls in. In the meantime, may you find a way to thrive.

I am sorry that didn't work out and hope your next employment is less dysfunctional. I see I am signing up for a circus. I will be sad not to overlap with you there but (assuming all goes well) will post a "what would Tim do?" sign on my desk.

Yah, it's been very much a cautionary experience about not trusting colleagues. :(

That Breitbart article clutches its pearls so hard. "Most Googlers are terrified of crossing Tim because the company will always take Tim’s side, no matter who is right.” ... "A former Google employee familiar with Chevalier also confirmed that his behaviour was a major source of fear for conservatives at the company." Such power!

I hope your next place will be a happier one. Having Google on your resume should be pretty golden.

Everyone at Google fears him! He found one weird trick to wielding all of the power at one of the largest companies in the world despite being a low-level schlub. Click here to find out his secret!

HA HA HA. This is so very untrue. (Source: Internal Google+.)

I think I started following you here after your Twitter was linked by right wingers who decided that you were clearly a leftwing bogeyman in the aftermath of the events that led to that one former Google employee becoming a rightwing media darling.

I hope you don't get fall out from the Breitbart hit piece.

And I'm sorry that Google isn't the sort of place where you can work.
