From http://pseudomonas.dreamwidth.org/134958.html -- like him, I have tried to add things which are not *universally* loved/hated; I feel putting "Orgasms" and "Genocide" on there would be kinda boring...

I have nothing against celery in a stir-fry - but people who put onion in there, what're they thinking?

I have often suspected as much.

Onions make stir-fries delicious! But their texture is ABHORRENT TO MAN AND BEST and they must be painstakingly removed before eating, and either thrown out or given to STIR-FRY DEVIANTS like Tim.

No, see, the answer is SPRING ONIONS* which taste good and aren't badly-textured and can be eaten near-raw.

* I think "scallions" in the US.

I don't see how "undercooked aubergine" isn't at the bottom of every list forever.

Do you object to the texture or the taste?

Celery salt / celery seed is a useful condiment, in that case. (try celery seed & vinegar on sliced cucumber)

This is only marginally relevant, but last night I had by far the most delicious celery of my life, prepared by noted celery-hater Juli. Perhaps only celery-haters understand the true nature of celery, I dunno. It was amazing.

Undercooked aubergine isn't as nice as properly cooked aubergine, sure. But it's not ICK ICK ICK GET IT AWAY FROM ME like, say, most cheeses.
