Free Books Update!

ETA: All books have been taken and/or distributed to an appropriate bookatorium. Thanks for playing!

If you have not checked out my free books posts:

http://tim.dreamwidth.org/1771247.html

http://tim.dreamwidth.org/1771692.html

http://tim.dreamwidth.org/1771814.html

I'm giving everything that hasn't been requested away (or selling it...) tomorrow.

If you already asked for some books, I've set them aside, but if you haven't already, you should either send me your address if you're not local, or tell me when you want to hang out if you *are* local. I have nothing to do this weekend except pack! Also, am in the East Bay and San Francisco tomorrow. (If you're local and want me to mail them, I will, but after grumbling about not getting to see you.)

I've got one more free CD post coming -- watch this space!

comments

Free CDs!

I'm trying to cut back on CDs even more radically, keeping ones I want to have in the car and relying on electronic format for everything else. So, if there's something here you like, assume I'll still be listening to it and I just don't need the physical medium. If there's something here that makes you question my taste in music, well, I probably never liked it in the first place.

Same deal as with books: definitely free for Bay Area people, willing to ship within reason to North Americans at no cost to you. I just want someone else to get some enjoyment out of some of these! Whatever doesn't go in a few days will get taken to Rasputin or Half Price Books.

comments

Giving away books!

I'm moving yet again, and am trying to cull my book collection. The following are free to any local people (Bay Area, probably even So. Cal since I'll be there soonish). I'm willing to ship paperbacks (P) for free to non-local people within North America. I'm more reluctant to ship hardcovers (H) but maybe we can make a deal. Feel free to link to this post; offer is open to people who don't know me!

I expect I'll end up donating all or most of these locally, of course, but I figured I'd offer in case a friend happens to have a burning desire for one of these. (This post is also to track what books I'm giving away so I can remember them later if needed.) Also, I reserve the right to sell anything that turns out to be worth any money, instead.

For the curious, I bolded books I've already read (and, obviously, didn't want to read again). Crossed-out ones are claimed.

ETA: There's more! Part 2

( Books! )

comments

Just Because I No Longer Wear A Shirt Doesn't Mean I No Longer Support Its Aims

I'm getting rid of more T-shirts that I don't wear often. Some are in good condition, some have minor stains.

Good condition:

<strike>"Into S&M?" on front; "Science & Math - what were you thinking?" on back. Size M, white text on dark blue shirt. (The Society of Physics Students at Wellesley sold these. I am no longer amused.)</strike> - taken by amberite

<strike>Light gray shirt with "You are dumb" in binary ASCII from ThinkGeek (version 1.0, if you care -- image). Size L.</strike> - taken by jholomorphic

"Ask Me About My Penis", white text on black. Size L. (This shirt is only funny if you are presenting as female.)

<strike>"Serotonin" with diagram of serotonin molecule below. (image - from Purely Akademik.) Dark blue, size L.</strike> - taken by amberite

<strike>"Berkelium" with entry from periodic table. (image - also from Purely Akademik.) Dark blue, size L.</strike> - taken by jholomorphic

<strike>"Bisexual Pride" in large text, "Biversity Boston/BBWM" below in small text. Pink and blue triangles with rainbow stripes, on black shirt. Size L.</strike> - taken by nyecamden

Slightly damaged:

"Well-behaved women rarely make history -- Laura [sic] Thatcher Ulrich" on the front, list of Wellesley Alumnae Achievement Awards winners on the back. Light gray, size M. Slight faded stains.

"Berkeley" cartoon (the K is a hand holding up a protest sign with a peace sign on it). Light gray, size L. Very faded stains.

<strike>"GEEKISSEXY" - the KISS is in red and the other letters are white - on a black shirt. Size L. No stains, but my bunnies chewed some holes in the collar area. You could cut that part out if that's your thing.</strike> - taken by nyecamden

<strike>"GOD SAID..." [Maxwell's equations] "...AND THERE WAS LIGHT." Fairly noticeable coffee stain next to text. White, size M.</strike> - taken by jholomorphic

"I Got Used at Ned's" (from Ned's Berkeley Bookstore"), some faded stains, white, size L.

I'll send any of these to anyone who asks, for the cost of shipping. First come, first serve.

<strike>I'm also giving away a gay pride flag, not the standard rainbow flag, but the version that looks like the American flag but with rainbow stripes instead of red and white. It is an awesome flag, I just don't really have anywhere to hang it. It's a smaller version of this. I'd guess about 3 by 5 feet.</strike> - taken by Lance.

comments

Hello internets,

I'm getting rid of some of my clever T-shirts that are either too big for me, or not so clever as per the test of time. If you want one or more of these, let me know.
