I think that with a compassionate and trained instructor, Systema is a good martial art for working on tension issues of all sorts, and also on PTSD. I don't know anything about the instructor in Reno, and the website doesn't give me a lot of confidence, but you might go talk to him and explain what you're looking for anyway. (Breathing, density, and relaxation work, and make sure to mention the CPTSD.)

I know that there are instructors in Seattle who really can work with you on this kind of thing, so next time you're around if you're interested and you let me know in advance I'll see if Brian has time. Brian is also great because he's the opposite in body type and mental demeanor of a lithe, flexible, muscly special forces guy.
