I think we're saying the same thing. If you're using Perl, you ought to know that you don't know a lot about what you know about your programs. Programmers like the commenter dismissing the undecidability of Perl's grammar as "ivory tower nonsense" are dangerous because they aren't aware of how much they don't know. People like that generally don't think they need to test their code, either.
