Wellesley's program sounds nice, or I wish I had met you earlier so I could realize I wasn't actually as dumb as I felt.
Heh, well, I'm not sure if meeting me that much earlier would have been helpful. I hadn't dealt with a lot of these issues yet and I was still insecure and judging people for not being smart in ways I thought I would show I was smart (spelling, grammar, and such). I mean... more so than now :-)
In the past I've wished I'd tried to get into an undergrad program like MIT instead of Wellesley, so that I would have been better prepared for grad school academically. Now, I don't know. I don't know if it would have broken my spirit, or forced me to confront some of my issues sooner.
Did you know your post was all about me? :p I dunno, it is helpful to me to read your experiences to put my own in context. So thanks for that, anyway.
Heh, well, the main reason i write stuff like this is the hope that other people will recognize themselves in it and that they'll say something so I can see I'm not alone!
