You know what I really hate about statistics? Realising you need it to explain just how much is, well, rational if you're a survivor. At least, for my head (it all started going *click* when I sort of internalised fuzzy logic at some point).
Of course, I had a pithy version passing through my head mid-post and forgot it by the time I finished. Grr!
...oh yeah, that was part of it: it looks like some of our cognition runs on stats anyway. Especially the bits under the surface.
